Image formats are optimized for different uses. PNG is useful for screenshots, graphics, and transparency. JPG is widely supported and efficient for photos. WebP can reduce file size while preserving good visual quality. GIF is useful for broad compatibility with simple graphics, while PDF is useful when an image needs to be shared or archived as a document. The previous CI3 image converter provided drag-and-drop uploads, multiple file selection, and output choices for PNG, JPG, GIF, PDF, and WebP. This Laravel version keeps those practical options while processing the files through the local Laravel/GD pipeline and returning the converted download directly to the browser. For privacy and operational safety, converted files are not published to a public uploads directory. Large images are capped by upload size and pixel count, and JPG/PDF outputs flatten transparency onto a white background because those formats do not preserve alpha transparency in the same way PNG and WebP can.
Choose one or more JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, or BMP images, select the target format, and run the converter. Review the output table for file count, source size, output size, format, and quality details before downloading the converted file.
